- ESR 1: Design, synthesis and evaluation of carboxylic acids and bioisosters as potent ERAP/IRAP inhibitors
Recruiting Institution: University of Lille, FR PhD Institution: University of Lille, FR |
Supervisor: Prof. Rebecca Deprez-Poulain |
Project Description An ESR position is available to work on the medicinal chemistry of ERAP inhibitors in the environment of the Drug discovery laboratory M2SV (www.deprezlab.fr), Lille, France. The M2SV is part of large world-class research institutes, the University of Lille hospital campus, the INSERM and the Institut Pasteur de Lille with access to a large array of the art core facilities, carrying out fundamental and applied research. The ESR will work in the M2SV team led by Pr R. Deprez-Poulain. Carboxylic acids are an important class of bioactive compounds that can be optimized efficiently to target metalloproteases. So far such leads are under exploited for ERAP/IRAP modulation. To fill the gap, the ESR will design and synthesize carboxylic acids and bioisosters modulators of ERAP/IRAP, possibly using new chemical modalities, establish structure-activity relationships for efficacy in antigen-presentation assays, stability, bioavailability of compounds for use as probes and lead therapeutic compounds. |
