| Project Description The ESR position is available at the R&D department of InoCure, an innovative nanotechnology startup in Prague, Czech Republic. The company is specialized in development of electrospinning devices and electrospun materials, and focuses the research on advanced nanofiber based drug delivery systems. Project aims to develop an adequate drug delivery systems (DDS) for targeted to diseased tissues and limiting the side effects. Two DDS approaches will be investigated. First, the nanoparticle based DDS developed to encapsulate the ERAP inhibitors for their intravenous delivery. In this case, the DDS will be optimized to increase the circulation time in serum and enable targeted delivery. Second, the implanted fibre based DDS will be developed for the sustained release in the joints. In this case, electrospinning will be used to produce core-shell nanofibers with encapsulated active ingredients or nanoparticles. This DDS will be optimized in order to provide long-term sustained, time and place regulated release of the ERAP inhibitors. The physicochemical characteristics of the two DDS, their release kinetics will be continuously evaluated during the project. The drug delivery systems will be evaluated in vitro and in vivo during the secondments to academic partners. |
